In December 2012, I was invited to the wedding of friends in India and was asked to capture the day as a second photographer. The celebration took place in Kanpur, an industrial city far away from the tourist crowds. Of course, the clocks in India run a little differently, even at weddings, and so the ceremony started a few hours later, as there was no functioning bus to take the guests from the hotel to the ceremony. The ceremony took place over several hours in Sanskrit, a language that even the bride and groom did not understand. It was a fascinating day and I am pleased to be able to show you a few impressions.
