Escaping the winter

Winter in Hamburg: short, dark days. At some point it gets too much, so in January I fled to the sun. This time (for the second time) to Madeira. Not too far away, but at least it was a sunny 20 degrees. Once again, I was thrilled by the island’s great scenery, brilliant hikes and fantastic views of the Atlantic.
